Girl Geek Communications is an Official City Partner with Google’s Get Your Business Online (GYBO) program. Program partners contribute to GYBO by hosting free workshops, scheduling office hours, and, in general, getting the word out about online resources that can help businesses grow. Our goal is to help your business take control of their listing on Google, Google Maps, and teach you the Google My Business platform.
Official partners like us aren’t employees of Google. Nor are we contractors. And we don’t get paid by Google to help you claim and verify your listing on Google Maps. City Partners must be either certified as a badged Google Adwords Partner or a Google Trusted Photographer. Only after receiving that certification, can we apply to become an Official City Partner. The whole process takes hours of training and learning, practice, and written exams. It took our founder geek, Miranda, two years to achieve her certification – so we are pretty proud to be a partner! And remember, we volunteer for this service!
Here at Girl Geek, we offer one-on-one, in-person assistance helping businesses claim their Google Maps listing online and learn to use the Google My Business platform. We also offer free workshops – so watch our Google Workshops page for more info.
Update 2021 – One-on-One verifications no longer offered
We are not offering in-person verifications at this time. However, please visit our Events page to find an online Google workshop or seminar about claiming your Google listing. These workshops will walk you through how to claim your listing on you own and all the new features offered in Google My Business.
We proudly offer FREE one-on-one assistance to business owners on the 2nd Tuesday of each month.
Please select a meeting time using the calendar below.
Business owners must bring original documentation that shows their business name and address. If this is unavailable, you can look up your business information on the Montana Secretary of State website. Business cards will not work for verification purposes.
If all available timeslots are filled, please send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org or call 406-534-2485 to get on the waiting list for one-on-one help.
